To request your chosen lady's attentions:  

1. You must write her name clearly above her address on the envelope. 

2. You must tell her the name by which you wish to be known. 

3. You must include a postal address via which she might safely correspond with you. 

4. If your letter is hand-written, you will ensure your letter is entirely legible. 

5. Your letter will very politely request her response.
